He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2022 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to Healthcare. He is a Professor of Rheumatology at the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Consultant Rheumatologist, Barts Health National Health Services Trust in London, Greater London, England.
