Aron B. Castro was born in Manila, Philippines. At the age of five, his family moved to Japan, staying there for nearly fourteen years. In Japan, Aron was educated at the international school Canadian Academy in Kobe. It was here that he found his reasons to pursue film.
After graduating from secondary school, Aron moved to Singapore to pursue his film studies at LASALLE College of the Arts, The Puttnam School of Film. Here he devoted his studies to majoring in directing and producing.
In 2015, his short film "Cain" was showcased the 25th European Union Film Festival as the opening short film. That same year, Aron's first attempt at drama with the film "Di Sana" garnered him and his team awards for best sound editing and best sound mixing, followed by a nomination for best picture at the inaugural National Youth Film Awards in Singapore.
Aron continues his vocation through producing and directing in the local film industry.
