Aushailene Ragin

Aushailene Tayler Ragin is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actress. She was born on December 12, 1997, in Fontana, California, and was raised bi-culturally, immersed in both Black and Latin culture.
At the age of 16, Aushailene moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and began acting professionally when she was cast in the Alliance Theatre Teen Ensemble (2015-2016 season). Since then, she's played characters as diverse as Minnie Dove Charles in the Georgia State University Production of Flyin' West (2019), Aliyah Muhammad in the feature film Chi Nu Legacy (2017), Kemi O. in the short film Token (2017), and Sophia in the short film Taking Air of Business, which screened at the "Best of Atlanta" premier, as a part of the 48HR Film Festival (2022).
She began her music career, known mononymously as "Aushailene", following the release of her debut singles titled "2020" and "222" which she self-produced during the lock-down in 2020. In music, Aushailene's mystical persona is complemented by her ability to explore difficult themes while maintaining a whimsical air of childlike optimism. In 2021, Aushailene executive produced her Little Red Riding Hood inspired music video titled "WOLVES", which was selected as a finalist for ATL Film Party. Since then, she has gone on to direct and style her most recent music video titled "Nectarine Perfume", which she shot on location in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (2022).
Aushailene graduated Cum Laude from Georgia State University in December 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary studies with a focus on Theatre Performance and a minor in Spanish. In the summer before her graduation, Aushailene traveled to Ireland where she studied Film Writing and Production at Dublin City University, and starred in the short film Haunting Committee (2019).
