- He is one of the largest and best Packard collectors in the world. His collection numbers 85 classic automobiles, every single one of them 100-point concours quality. Many if not all his cars have found themselves at Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, Meadow Brook and the Glenmoore Gathering in the past two decades. The Marano collection Is shown in a glassed-in building in Garwood which is his private museum. Sharing these great transportation wonders with others.
Most of his cars are one of one or prototypes. Ralph started out with buying his first car at 12 for $55 and that was back in 1947. He continues to seek out and purchase more and more specialty Packards.
His first Packard was bought when he was still working at Sears and Roebuck in 1978 during a stay in a hospital after a horrific automobile accident. His father and himself were selling cars and doing very well on the side. Then when Ralph left Sears and Roebuck he began selling cars full time in his home town of Garwood. Ralph has had a 38+ year dedication and contribution to the classic car hobby with a special affection for the Packard and Darrin marque.
