Chris Bicourt is a Latin-Americanist who teaches, performs and lectures in Brazilian Samba culture and history.
With more than 15 years of samba experience, a background in television and stage, Chris Bicourt doesn't just 'dance' samba - he lives and breathes it! He trained for many years in London and at the Carlinhos de Jesus academy in Rio de Janeiro. He brings great theatre and improvisation to his performances, embodying the backstreets of Brazil and the euphoria of the carnival itself.
Christopher has participated in prestigious events in the UK (the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, with Pelé and other Brazilian superstars) and abroad (for the Emir of Qatar). Chris has also appeared on the BBC, Channel 5 and ITV several times.
