- British-born Yvonne Potter is a graduate of King's College London University in French and German, as well as being fluent in Polish. In 2002, she completed the two-year University Extension program at the University of California Los Angeles in Entertainment Publicity and has over fifteen years of experience in publicity in the U.S. and Europe, before turning her hand to screenwriting exclusively.
Proud of her Polish heritage and fascinated by the influence of Polish artists on early cinema, she developed a passionate interest in the great silent film star, Pola Negri. This obsession led to a decade of research into her private and public life.
Yvonne co-wrote a feature film script with Lea Sellers based on Pola Negri's life. British film historian and Academy Honorary Award winner Kevin Brownlow has consulted on this project and the estate of Pola Negri has officially endorsed the biopic.
Yvonne's next film passion project is based on the camaraderie between freedom fighter Thaddeus Kosciuszko and Agrippa Hull, a free black man, during the darkest days of the American Revolution.
Yvonne is married and lives in New York with her husband David and their son. She is a member of BAFTA New York.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Yvonne Potter
