The whole Xbox debacle continues, and people all over the industry are speaking their minds about what happened on May 7. Mike Ybarra, former president of Blizzard, talked about this long post in X. He mentioned how Phil Spencer is probably feeling down with the decision to shut down four different studios.
People quickly replied to the post, saying that Ybarra should focus on the people who have just lost their jobs and not on the millionaire who is still the company’s head and is making these controversial decisions.

Whether you’ve played the video games or not, you’ve probably heard the buzz surrounding The Last of Us TV series on HBO. Many people have declared it the best video game adaptation to date, in part because of the epic and accurate performances by stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. Pascal’s depiction of protagonist Joel Miller is so impressive that it had Troy Baker, who played Joel in The Last of Us games, second-guessing his original performance. Here’s what Baker said about Pascal and the TV show.
Troy Baker, who voiced Joel in ‘The Last of Us’ video games | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic Why ‘The Last of Us’ recast Joel for the TV adaptation
Baker, an actor and musician, provided the voice and motion capture in The Last of Us (2013) and its sequel, as well as the Dlc. So, why couldn’t Baker just reprise his role in HBO’s adaptation?...

11 months after it ushered in a new era of influencer boxing, the Creator Clash is coming back for a second round. The creator-on-creator face-off will return to the Amalie Arena in Tampa on April 15, 2023.
The organizer of the Creator Clash will return to compete in its main event. Last year, commentary creator iDubbbz (real name Ian Jomha) debuted in the ring and lost on points to Doctor Mike. For Creator Clash 2, iDubbbz will take on another opponent with boxing experience: Alex Wassabi. The vlogger was set to fight Ksi last year but withdrew before the bout took place.
Creator Clash 2 will offer entertainment far beyond its main card. Some participants from the first Creator Clash — including YodelingHaley, Arin Hanson, and Nathan ‘Dad’ Barnatt — will take on new challengers as part of the undercard. There will also be some bouts featuring new Creator Clash participants. I’ll have an eye on...

Hideo Kojima’s shock departure from Konami may have happened more than half a decade ago, but after-effects from the split are still being felt in the industry today. Besides leaving the future of Metal Gear Solid uncertain (Konami owns the IP and has yet to do anything meaningful with it), one undisputed casualty was Silent Hills. The title, intended to be a reboot of the survival horror franchise, would have starred The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus as the player character, with Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro involved as a co-director.
While gameplay of the project never materialized, P.T., a playable demo released in 2014 meant to serve as a proof of concept, quickly became a phenomenon for its genuinely nail-biting atmosphere and masterful level design. Whether or not the finished product would have resembled P.T. in any way, we’ll likely never know, though thanks to a new leak,...

Though Machinima ceased consumer-facing operations earlier this month and laid off the majority of its staff, a handful of the gaming-focused digital network’s shows will live on at Rooster Teeth. Rooster Teeth's rescue mission feels a little serendipitous given that both digital OGs create content in the gaming space, and both are owned by At&T.
First, Austin-based Rooster Teeth will resume production an iconic brand within the Machinima empire: Inside Gaming -- a hub for quick updates on what’s happening in the gaming industry. Adam Kovic, who founded Inside Gaming in 2008 but left with his team in 2015 to found the Funhaus gaming channel at Rooster Teeth, will be involved in the relaunched production. The cast of the revamped venture will also include editor-in-chief Lawrence Sonntag, Kovic, another original member named Bruce Greece, and former IGN reporter Alanah Pearce.
