Gregory Neil Lucas
- Producer
Greg started his entertainment business career at Music + Art Management in 2004, alongside music industry veteran Steve Cohen, managing an array of intelligent multidisciplinary musicians and performing artists including DJ Spooky, Haale, D-Fuse, King Britt, Drums & Tuba, Suphala, Vijay Iyer and Carl Hancock Rux. In July 2008, with support from Steve and his new business partner Billy Roberts, Greg launched a cultural events programming and production company, Better Ventures. Better Ventures produced and presented a blacklight dance performance called Chorus of Dreams, which premiered at the Burning Man Festival in Nevada. The artistic collaborators have gone on to perform at the Democratic National Convention and the TED Conference.
In February 2009, Greg joined leading festival marketing agency Music Allies in Asheville to help spearhead the launch of Creative Allies, a new social network that brings bands and fans together around user generated art. He also worked with the marketing side of the company as a project manager, salesperson and strategic consultant for an array of independent labels and festivals ranging from Justin Timberlake's Tennman Records to Outside Lands Festival. In September 2011, Greg relocated to Santa Monica and transitioned full time to Creative Allies to grow the online design community into a leading merchandise solution for pop culture and entertainment brands.
In September 2013, Greg joined the management and operations team at Preservation Hall in New Orleans. After nine years of various collaborations and projects with the Hall, he is honored and inspired to support the legendary venue, internationally-touring band and impactful foundation.
