Carla Landreth was born in 1969 in Stephenville Texas but grew up her entire life in small town De Leon Texas. She is the eldest of four siblings. She has three children GeorgeAnne Landreth, Marion Landreth and Stanton Landreth. Landreth began writing at an early age and in high school won a contest for a commercial jingle. She also was a published author by the time she graduated high school winning awards in short stories and poetry. After high school Landreth studied short story and novel writing through Writer's Digest School, where she was mentored by William G Tapply (Brady Coyne Series) and Michael Garrett (Hot Blood series). She also has an education in Professional Investigations. Landreth won several awards form Edie Lou Cole Foundation and World of Poetry. She appeared in Sparrow Grass Press. In 2000 her first book was published and since has had several published. Landreth has appeared as guest on many blogs and on the radio. In 2002 she and her daughter began a community theater Purple Lilly and many times appeared on stage even writing for the group when they had no money. In 2013 Landreth wrote the web series Texas Cousins after friend and fellow actor Ted Alderman encouraged her to do so. She not only wrote and produce the series but also stars in the series. To this day she still lives in her home town De Leon Texas.
