- Brandon Liew is a music producer and composer for television, film, and games.
He works with electronic music producer and composer Ryan Lofty (Future Vega) on Fast & Furious Spy Racers (2019), Cleopatra in Space (2019), and another unannounced series for DreamWorks Animation. He has written library music for Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007), Total Divas (2013) and Ball in the Family (2017).
Operating as a one-man studio band, Brandon specializes in producing electronic music for media and often incorporates EDM, hip-hop, lofi, and orchestral elements to create hybrid musical scores. He received 2nd prize for the 2019 SOCAN Foundation Awards for Emerging Audio-Visual Composers and was a finalist for the 2017 Sundance Music and Sound Design Lab. He is the composer of Battu, an animated hip hop musical from Chaz Bottoms (Director/Writer/Animator) and Academy Award winner Matthew A. Cherry (Executive Producer).
He is one half of Yamikawaii J-Pop duo Bakénéko, co-writing and producing singles that received national coverage on POPDUST and Global Dance Electronic. Alt guitars, analog synths and chiptune are common features of both his artist releases and scores for games, for publishers like Humble.
