Mickey Jaiven was born on April 25, 1990, in Miami, Florida. He has Russian, English, and German ancestry. He was raised in Weston, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. During childhood, in addition to his interest in theatre and film, Mickey played a number of sports, including baseball, basketball, and tennis. He attended high school at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida, and it was there that he began taking acting very seriously.
After graduating, Mickey was educated at the University of Central Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in theatre and film and starred in productions such as "Talk Radio" (Barry Champlain)and "Glengarry Glen Ross" (Shelley Levine). After acting in Orlando Shakespeare Theatre's production of "Henry IV", Mickey, upon earning his degree, returned to South Florida for a year to work in regional theatre, including Outre Theatre's production of "The Wild Party" (Eddie) and Thinking Cap Theatre's production of "The Rover" (Frederick). He is also a double-certified personal trainer, working for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as the American Council on Excercise
Mickey moved to New York in 2014, finding modeling work, and landing acting roles, in HBO's "Vinyl", NBC's "Law & Order: SVU", CBS's Blue Bloods, and Fox's Gotham.
