Joseph Neidorf

Joseph won the 2023 NY Emmy Award for Musical Composition for his work in Suzen Baraka's "My Asian." Joseph has written for comedy, drama, and action films, as well as reached over one million viewers through political video soundtracks for the Biden Digital Coalition, Creatives 4 Biden, and the SuperPAC MeidasTouch. He studied composition at the University of Chicago and film scoring at UCLA, where he interned at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions and won the BMI / Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship.
In addition to film scoring, Joseph is studying for a Master's in Music Therapy. His research focus is on adult mental health care, and he is interning with a hospice team. He has co-authored research published in the Journal of Music Therapy, and is writing a Master's Thesis investigating music therapy's potential to efficiently teach mindfulness meditation skills.
