The X Factor finally has its Top 12 - but while it's a very talented bunch, as always there are some acts that we're infuriated didn't make it through. You can make all your excuses - it was a really tough field, the judges could only pick so many, boo hoo - but that doesn't mean we're not going to pout our way through this week.
So if we'd had our way - or maybe if a wild card category suddenly popped up - which acts should definitely have gone through to the live shows?
1. Jennifer Phillips
We never really knew that we had to be worried about Jennifer's place in the competition after her rapturous performance of 'Shackles' in the auditions, which has become our go-to YouTube when we're feeling a bit blue. Of all the people that didn't make it through, Jennifer's exclusion stings the most. Perhaps Simon was...

The X Factor is well and truly under way, and we've been keeping an eye on everything that's been going on...
When is The X Factor on TV?
The show kicked off on August 29 - and in fact, in an attempt to avoid any clashes with Strictly Come Dancing, ITV bosses have unveiled the full schedule right from the off, so we know everything that's coming. You can get a proper look at it here, but auditions continued until Saturday, September 19 with Boot Camp kicking off on September 20. That was the first of five boot camp shows - two set in a country house, and then three episodes of the dreaded Six Chair Challenge. They were all on Sundays, to avoid the Rugby World Cup, but then Judges' Houses aired on October 24 and October 25... and the first big live show will kick off on October 31. And the grand final? It's set for Sunday,...

X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw has said that he would like to bring back Monica Michael.
The Girls contestant was dropped last night (October 25) by Rita Ora after performing a self-penned track at Judges' Houses.
Asked who he would reinstate if he had a wild card, Grimshaw told Digital Spy: "Maybe Monica. I love Monica. I thought it was very courageous - it took balls tonight to do a song which she's written.
"I thought it was very moving and really emotional. So I'd love to see Monica come back. I think she's got something."
Grimshaw took Mason Noise, Che Chesterman and Seann Miley Moore to the live shows yesterday, though his Judges' Houses segment was shown on Saturday's show.
The Radio 1 DJ admitted that he knew who he was going to drop on Saturday, which made it harder to break the bad news to unfortunate three Josh Daniel, Ben Clark and Simon Lynch.

Mason Noise, Che Chesterman and Seann Miley Moore have been chosen as the three Boys to make it through to The X Factor's live shows.
Judge Nick Grimshaw made his decision tonight (October 25), opting to send home Josh Daniel, Ben Clark and Simon Lynch.
Vote! The X Factor 2015: Who is your favourite act in the Top 12?
Grimshaw described the process of choosing his final three as "tough", telling the singers: "This is quite brutal because I feel like I've bonded with you all.
"You are the right six who should be stood here. It's especially tough because you're all so different.
"The three I've gone for know who they are as an artist."

The first boy Grimshaw picked was Mason, although his choice was met with more than a few boos from the audience.

The X Factor takes us all to Judges' Houses this weekend, as the Top 24 contestants battle it out for a place in the live shows. And Nick Grimshaw swept his top six Boys off to the Cotswolds, where they performed for guest judge Mark Ronson (and posed for some rather snazzy pictures):
1. Ben Clark - 25, Coventry
Who? Ben Clark - who works as a night-time receptionist - performed 'Here Without You' by 3 Doors Down in his first audition and has impressed the judges ever since with his rocky voice.
He says: "I do think that I'm different in terms of my voice to the rest of the people in the competition, as there are some really talented powerful singers, but I feel like mine has a huskier, rocky tone."
2. Che Chesterman - 19, Langdon
Who? Che gave up his job stacking shelves in Tesco to pursue his singing career, and...

Seann Miley Moore's show-stopping rendition of Shirley Bassey's ' I (Who Have Nothing)' got all four judges up on their feet for a standing ovation on last night's X Factor.
The 24-year-old Australian hopeful sailed through the Six Chair Challenge and into mentor Nick Grimshaw's Boys Category for Judges' Houses, along with Ben Clark, Che Chesterman, Josh Daniel, Simon Lynch and Tom Bleasby.
But there was a spot of controversy and drama when fellow contestant Mason Noise complained about his lack of airtime and received a dressing down from Simon Cowell.
Speaking to Digital Spy about what he thought of the act and his behaviour, Moore recalled: "Well, you can see from my reaction I didn't know where to look, I didn't know what was going on. He was so talented, he really had something going on.

The X Factor's Six Chair Challenge was a tough watch last week. With some serious talent, the stakes for Rita Ora and her Girls really did feel high.
That wasn't so much the case this time around.
The problem with the Six Chair Challenge is that it's difficult to edit it much - the producers are tied to a certain extent by whether anyone is sitting in the chairs (and who is sitting in the chairs). So when Nick Grimshaw began his category all confident and got slowly ground down by the lack of talent on offer, there wasn't much the producers could do but play it out as it was.
Sure, it's a good enough storyline that the Boys have fallen apart, but poor performance after poor performance is dispiriting and hardly something that's going to immediately suck in the viewers.
Even when Tom Bleasby and Jamie Eldridge were gifted with seats,...

The Six Chair Challenge continued tonight with Nick Grimshaw's Boys taking the stage, and it's fair to say it was something of a mixed bag. From on-stage meltdowns to serious nerves, it wasn't an easy ride. So if you can bear to relive it again, here's your video round-up, with the performances ranked from worst to best:
15. Mason Noise
Presumably the 'noise' he is referring to is a sad trombone.
14. Tom Davies
Worth it for Simon's cringe face.
13. Jordan Luke Gage
Jordan sang 'No More I Love Yous', accurately predicting the judges' comments.
12. Danny Sharples
His amazing name could only take him so far.
11. Brodie Kelly
At least Simon said he'd take a chance on him.
10. Jamie Eldridge
... We think. We only saw about ten seconds of his performance.
9. Ollie Marland
Fine.
8. Nathanael Landskroner
So nervous he "couldn't even hold the mic". (But we still like him.)
7. Papasidero

The X Factor got very tense tonight, with on-stage tantrums, forgotten lyrics and, of course, some serious Six Chair swapping. But who are the Top 6 Boys who survived the ordeal and made it to Judges' Houses?
1. Ben Clark
Age: 25
From: Coventry
Job: Receptionist and part-time singer
Remind me: Ben certainly won over Rita Ora with his first audition, in which he made the unusual choice to sing a 3 Doors Down track. With more of a rock voice than the other Boys, he was in one of the best groups at Boot Camp and then wowed with an unusual cover of Rihanna's 'Stay'. But it was his performance of Kodaline's 'All I Want' in the Six Chair Challenge that really secured his place in the competition, as Simon dubbed him the "biggest shock" of the day - and even getting on his feet for him.
2. Che Chesterman

Ché Chesterman receives a standing ovation from all four judges following his soulful performance during the Six Chair Challenge on Sunday night's X Factor.
The Essex-born hopeful sings a rendition of 'It's a Man's World', prompting Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to get on her feet and high-five Nick Grimshaw - who will have to decide whether or not to give Ché a seat and take him through to Judges' Houses.
This is the second of three Six Chair Challenge episodes, following last weekend's emotional show which saw Monica Michael, Lauren Murray, Louisa Johnson, Keira Weathers, Chloe Paige and Havva Rebke secure places in the Judges' Houses stage with mentor Rita Ora.
The other singers competing for a place in Grimshaw's Boys category are Ben Clarke, Brodie Kelly, Danny Sharples, Jamie Eldridge, Jordan Luke Gage, Josh Daniel, Martin Harich, Mason Noise, Nathaneal Landskroner, Ollie Marland, Papasidero, Seann Miley Moore, Simon Lynch,...
