Jockstrap have announced their new album, I<3Uqtinvu, a fully remixed version of their debut full-length, I Love You Jennifer B. Out on November 3rd via Rough Trade Records, it includes the lead single, “Red Eye,” featuring Ian Starr. Stream it below.
For I<3Uqtinvu — short for I Love You Cutie, I Envy You — Jockstrap’s Taylor Skye recruited Ersatz, Kirin J Callinan, Babymorocco, Coby Sey, and Starr, the latter of whom Skye connected with online just a few months ago. “Some of these remixes are almost three years old and some are only six months old,” Skye said about the project in a statement. “I made most of them really quickly, in a day or so. It keeps me sane to do this whilst mixing the album.”
He added, “I don’t really remember making them. It’s like eating too much and then throwing up and this is what comes out.

slowthai has released his third studio album, Ugly, via Method Records/Interscope Records. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below, and get tickets to his upcoming tour dates here.
The title of the album is an acronym for U Gotta Love Yourself, the sentiment of which is reflected in slowthai’s description of the album as “completely me — about how I feel and what I want to be… it’s everything I’ve been leading up to.” The sound of Ugly taps back into slowthai’s love of artists like Nirvana, Radiohead, and Daniel Johnston.
“This album was me trying to emulate the spirit of the brotherhood ethos that bands have. Music is about the feeling and emotion that goes into it,” the British artist said in a statement. “Like an artist making a painting, it’s the expression of that moment in time. I really felt like I didn’t want to rap,...

Slowthai leans into a bruising post-punk sound on his new song, “Selfish,” which will appear on his upcoming third album, Ugly, out March 3 via Method Records/Interscope Records.
Though arguably known first-and-foremost as a rapper, the frenetic, anxious rock-leaning style of “Selfish” is something Slowthai has explored on past songs like “Doorman” and “Deal Wiv It” (both of which were collaborations with Mura Masa). In a statement, Slowthai spoke about examining his own selfishness, especially in relation to his ambitions: “I want to be there for them but I’m always striving,...

At a vegan Chinese restaurant in North London, the fate of Jockstrap’s debut album, I Love You Jennifer B, was at the whims of an act of mayhem. Someone had just snatched producer Taylor Skye’s backpack. In it was his laptop, which held the only copy of the album that he and singer-songwriter Georgia Skye had spent several years working on. The music wasn’t backed up anywhere.
Luckily, Slowthai was there.
“Ty chased the guy down and got the laptop back,” Skye says, explaining why the celebrated...
