Italian filmmaker based in Geneva, Switzerland, embarked on her cinematic journey by pursuing a degree in Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London, specialising in Cinematography. During her studies, she directed several short films and gained valuable experience. Following her education, Paola honed her skills further by working at Vismedia, a film production company, and later at Walt Disney in London for several years.
Her debut documentary, "Xylella Fastidiosa - The Apocalypse of Salento," won awards and screened at international film festivals. "ENPA Latiano - A Story of Animal Love" followed as her second short documentary film. Paola's upcoming project, the mid-length documentary "The Shadow Pandemic," aims to shed light on violence against women in Switzerland.
