Ian is a freelance stills photographer. Self-taught and starting out as a hobbyist, Ian was hired by an online retailer as a product photographer shortly after he moved to London in 2009. In 2012 he moved to another e-commerce company where he started to get involved in corporate and online content videos for Powa Technologies, Electrolux, Trinny & Susannah and Nicky Clarke. Whilst working on these videos, Ian was introduced to several actors and actresses and decided to start providing head shots for actors in his spare time.
In 2015, he volunteered as a unit stills photographer for Monsters in the Dark (2015), a short horror film produced by Mordue Pictures and directed by Luke Mordue. Ian was then invited back to work on another production by Luke Mordue, Add Me (2015) in the same year, for the Colchester Film Festival 60 hour Film Challenge, in which it was shortlisted in the top 15 entries.
Ian was born in Dundee, Scotland to Ellen Fletcher, a nurse and Peter Forknall, a mechanical technician in the Royal Air Force. After his parents divorced, he moved to Aylesbury with his mother, where he lived until he moved to London in early 2009.
