Born as Gunnar Schaefer, Sweden's own Mr. James Bond, had a difficult childhood after the disappearance of his father in 1959. His father had escaped Germany after World War II and become a Swedish citizen before his mysterious disappearance. It was when he saw 'Goldfinger' in 1964 [See:
Goldfinger (1964)] that Gunnar found a new father figure in James Bond 007 and his creator
Ian Fleming.
