Naim Al Khatib was born in Rafah camp in the Gaza Strip, for an immigrant family from Al Qubaiba, a village from the district of Ramla. After completing high school in his city in 1986, he moved on to study at Bir Zeit University which was closed down after a year and a half per the Israeli military orders during the Intifada. Then, he went to the American University in Cairo and got a bachelor's degree in computer science, with a minor in theater. After a while, he completes his studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder to get a master's degree in the same specialty.
He published his fist narrative collection "free reign" in 2010, and released his second one "stolen alive" in 2013. Moreover, he has written some theatrical and film scripts and engaged in acting and directing for theater and film.
