Cersei Lannister endured a naked walk of shame at the end of "Game of Thrones" Season 5, but actress Lena Headey worked with a body double, Rebecca Van Cleave. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, promoting the April 24 premiere of Season 6, Headey said she got some very positive reactions to the scene; however, "some people thought I was less of an actress because I didn't get my tits out." (EW linked to a story in the U.K. Telegraph sharing fan complaints about Headey's use of a body double.)
Headey told EW "it was really a bit shocking" to get that reaction from some viewers, and she explained why she made her choice:
"I've done nudity. I'm not adverse to it. But I know I'm a very emotional actor and I get really driven by that. In order to do my job, I allow myself to be really vulnerable. I...

"Game Of Thrones" Season 5 Finale Spoilers
As has been confirmed, Lena Headey used a body double during filming of her famous 'walk of atonement' in the fifth season finale of HBO's "Game of Thrones" last weekend.
Headey, who was pregnant at the time and opted out of the walk "for several reasons", did all the close up shots of Cersei's face. However, the shots from the back and the longer shots of her from the front (basically wherever you could see nipples) used Headey's head digitally mapped onto a body double's body.
EW has now gotten in touch with that body double, also known as actress Rebecca Van Cleave who beat out over 1,000 hopefuls for the part. Asked about the experience of filming the scene, Van Cleave says:
"It was one of the scariest, most wonderful, most gratifying experiences I could have imagined. I never in a million years would...

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey's 'Walk of Shame' nude body double has been revealed as actress Rebecca Van Cleave.
Headey opted out of going naked for the harrowing six-minute sequence "for several reasons", one of which was so she could fully focus on the emotions in her performance.
The actress also wasn't involved in the casting process for her double, adding: "I was like, 'Listen guys, she happens to have a beautiful body, but I don't do casting'. If somebody is brave enough to do this, I applaud it."
We've found 11 other actors and actresses who've spoken candidly about choosing a body double instead of baring their naked bits on the big screen.
And you may find some film scenes quite surprising (it wasn't really Kevin Costner frolicking naked in a waterfall!).
