- Ursula Gysin used to be a pop singer. Using the alias "Linda" she released a cover version of the Israeli hit "Mama Linda" in 1973. The B-side was the song "Feuer aus Stroh", the German version of the Neil Diamond song "Pocurpine Pie". In 1974 she qualified for the final of the Swiss selection of the Eurovision Song Contest with the track "Ein Wort von Dir, Ein Wort von Mir". Her third and last single was released in 1976 ("Was wäre, wenn ...").
- Ursula was co-founder and captain of the Ladies' soccer team of the club FC Nordstern Basel in the early 1970s.
- On a national level Ursula was a successful pétanque player.
