Melissa Bishop-Nriagu
Olympic athlete, Melissa Bishop was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are Alison and Doug Bishop. Growing up in Eganville, Ontario, she began running track when she was 12 years old. Melissa graduated from the University of Windsor, with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (2010) and a Bachelor of Education (2011). Competing in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, she won a gold medal in the 800m event. Melissa has competed in the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she came in fourth place in the 800m in the latter. She resides in Windsor, Ontario, with her husband, Osi Nriagu and their daughter, Corinne.
