George Kolta

George Kolta is an Egyptian Conductor, Composer, Upon graduating with excellence from the Cairo conservatoire's "Conducting and Composition" department, he pursued his studies with conductors from Austria and Germany. He also studied with Robert Anderson in London where he got a certificate from 'The Elgar Society Edition'.
After returning to Egypt from London he worked on developing his Conducting skills with Maestro Nader Abbassi who had a huge influence on Kolta's musical character.
In 2016 he participated in several performances with the Munich Orchestra Conducted by Dr.Adel Shalaby. These concerts included international works such as 'Carmena Burana' in addition to an Arabic work arranged by Kolta.
He conducted the Heliopolis University Strings Quintet; he also conducted many choirs such as Tioro, Sekem and Heliopolis University Choir, in addition to his participation in 'Al Nour Wal Amal' Opera as a choir conductor. Today he is the Choir Director of the All Saints Choir, based in the All Saints' Cathedral.
He conducted the Cairo Symphony Orchestra for two years in a row after enriching workshops with Maestro Ahmed El Saeedi.
In November 2015, he conducted the first concert of the self-found Abydos Symphony Orchestra.
As a composer, George composed a Concerto for the Oud and orchestra as well as some operettas.

in November 2016, he arranged and conducted 'CineMania' project with Nesma Mahgoub & group of artists which made major success
