Hemant is an Nepalese photographer and artist, based in the India. He uses natural light to capture humanizing moments, a filmmaker and a passion for storytelling led him to pursue film in India. After studying filmmaking, he embarked on his filmmaking career, initially working as assistant director on Indian Soap opera Drama " Parvaarish and work various production in India. He is as known Cinematographer for Cryptic Road (2016), Long Dark Road (2014) and Saints in Vain: Fading Faces (2015).
After a years of experience in Indian film Industry. He establish his careers in documentary through his debut documentary, Chhaupadi (Period Huts) - Dying in Illegal Menstrual Huts.
He remains dedicated to the power of storytelling as a tool for education and societal reflection. With a keen eye for the human condition and a commitment to authenticity, he want to stands as a beacon in the world of documentary filmmaking, sparking conversations and inspiring change.
