Banda Crac!

The group was formed in Salvador, Capital of Bahia state, in Brazil, by the end of 1989 and dissolved in 2001. Influenced by the punk movement, dodecaphonic and atonal music, Brazilian rhythms and experimentalism, their shows usually had conceptual approach and involved theatrical interventions.
In 1992, at the birth of the relationship between the Crac! members and the work of Walter Smetak, the group joined composer Paulo Barnabé for the production of an album recorded live at the WR studios, but the work was never finished. Their only released CD, entitled 'MóBraba' , came out 5 years later, in 1997, as result of the Copene Culture Arts Awards. The group carried on working with microtons and performing for other 3 years, finally resuming their activities in 2001.

Other former musicians were: Pedro Semanovischi (guitar), Tamima Brazil (drums), Edbráss Ferreira (vocals, microtons and effects), Juninho 'Junix' Costa (guitar), Betinho Barreto (guitar), Everaldo Aguia (percussion), Peu Meurray (percussion), Andre Yogi (drums), Krishna Miranda (guitar) Ramon Casais (percussion), Emerson (percussion), Careca (percussion), Duda Machado (Drums), Benedict Leb (trumpet).
