Hashim Sharaf is a multidisciplinary Bahraini Film Director and Creative Director, graduated from RMIT University in Australia with a Bachelor's degree in Filmmaking & Cinema Studies. Hashim has since become a prominent contributor to the Bahraini film industry by gaining recognition locally and internationally for his narrative shorts and successful TV shows.
The Jury Prize at the Baghdad Film Festival (2016), Best GCC Film in Sharjah Film Festival (2015) and the Best Director at the Red Carpet Festival are few notable accomplishments he has achieved for his short films. Hashim was also nominated for the Best Film Award by the National Arab American Society in Carthage International Film Festival in Tunis, one of the most regarded film events in the African and Arab world.
In recent years, Hashim produced and directed TV shows for Shahid and narrative commercials in the MENA region, and was awarded 1st Place in Riyadh as a Pioneer Marketer for all his accomplishments.
His latest short film, "A Beautiful Excuse for A Deadly Sin (2024)," premiered at the Saudi Film Festival.
