Ricky Kendall

Ricky Kendall is a Los Angeles based Composer, Sound Designer and Audio Engineer with a focus on film, TV and trailer music. He was born and raised in Michigan. Ricky started playing music by ear on a Casio keyboard, multi-track recording on free software on an old Windows computer. He started playing guitar in high school, which is his main instrument next to keyboards. He is mostly a self-taught musician learning by ear. He spent a few years playing in bands as lead songwriter/guitarist. He graduated from Full Sail University, where he studied music production, composition and theory.
His music is influenced by many modern composers like Jóhann Jóhannsson, Olafur Arnalds, Alexandre Desplat, James Newton Howard and Danny Elfman and classical composers like Debussy and Chopin and various rock, indie and metal artists. This wide range of influence makes his style eclectic, raw and heartfelt.
He has written for many trailer music albums for Gothic Storm Music, Colossal Trailer Music, Revolt Production Music and Really Slow Motion Music.
