This article contains spoilers for recent Marvel X-Men stories.
A long time ago, back at the beginning of the interminable, endless month of March that the pandemic has trapped us in, Marvel’s X-Men books were barrelling towards their first big post-Dawn of X crossover, X of Swords. And then the world stopped, and plans changed for the X-Men while everything was paused.
Now that we’re back, plans have changed, and books are coming fast and furious. So what’s going on with Marvel’s Merry Mutants? Which book did Storm get sick in? What book should you read for a good Laksa recipe? New Mutants, but we can answer all your other questions on what’s going on with the X-Men below.
While we won’t rehash the entire thing, House of X/Powers of X reset the entire X-Men line. Mutants can’t die anymore. The X-Men,...

Marvel's X-Men trailer reveals what's next for everyone's favorite mutants.
With House of X and Powers of X steaming towards their close, Marvel is starting to ramp up its promotion of the post-relaunch event X-Men line of comics. They've relased a teaser trailer for the "Dawn of X" lineup of books- X-Men, Marauders, Excalibur, New Mutants, X-Force, and Fallen Angels - that is mostly covers but has a handful of preview images. If you're anything like me, you are freeze framing the video to try and suss out clues about the end of HoXPoX from the preview art. Because I value your time, I went ahead and did that for you.
The first book featured is the flagship X-title, X-Men, from Jonathan Hickman and Leinil Francis Yu (most recently the penciler of Ta-Nehisi Coates' very good Captain America relaunch). The preview art consists of the Summers family reunion cover,...

Marvel shared with the world their plans for the new X-Men world, and it's a lot.
Jonathan Hickman is returning to Marvel next week to light a fire under the X-Men, and at San Diego Comic Con, he shared his plans for the first wave of X-Men comics to follow his place-setting launch titles, House of X and Powers of X.
Six books launch in the first wave: X-Men, Excalibur, X-Force, New Mutants, Fallen Angels and Marauders.
"House of X and Powers of X lay the groundwork for a whole new world of X-Men stories for years to come, and the Dawn of X books are the promise of that new world come to life,” said X-Men Senior Editor Jordan D. White in a press statement.
White later told Polygon more about the lead in books: "[After House of M] the [books] became less about acceptance by humankind and more about the...

Gunpowder & Sky’s sci-fi label Dust has taken the rights to the interstellar noir comic Hadrian’s Wall from Kyle Higgins, Alec Siegel (Batman Beyond) and Rod Reis’ (Winter Soldier). Higgins will adapt and direct the feature.
It’s the first adaptation for the New York Times No. 1 best-selling author Higgins who has also directed a live-action trailer for Shattered Grid, which clocked 12 million cross-platform views in its first two weeks of release.
Billed as a locked-room murder mystery in space, Hadrian’s Wall follows a pill-popping detective sent to interview the crew of a distant survey ship, when his ex-wife’s new husband dies in suspicious circumstances amidst a broiling cold war between Earth and her distant colony.
“Although Hadrian’s Wall takes place a century into the future, the crew of the space vessel navigates both a murder mystery and a civil...

Despite Bucky Barnes counting himself among those affected by Thanos’ reality-altering snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, my gut tells me that big things await the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Likewise, the comic book side of things is giving us much to talk about, as the House of Ideas will soon launch a new Winter Soldier title.
Right now, not much information regarding the plot has been given, though we have been supplied with this brief synopsis:
You know his name. You know the things he’s done. And now that the man known as The Winter Soldier has found redemption, he’s going to help others do the same…even if it’s not as easy as he expects.
Granted, that does sound quite intriguing, but if you need more reassurance, know that the five-issue miniseries will be penned by none other than Kyle Higgins,...
