Janita 'Jai' McNeal
- Director
- Composer
Growing up in Ohio, Jai sang in church and played several instruments.
Her God-given musical talent took her many places including
Connecticut, Virginia and eventually California. She attended Betsy
Ross Arts Magnet School in Connecticut which allowed her the
opportunity to play saxophone for the Governor of New York. This school
also afforded her the opportunity to take acting and dance classes.
Once she returned back to her home state of Ohio, she was involved in
music, athletics, show choir, stage plays, jazz band, marching band,
and was in the youth choir as well as a youth gospel group and combined
church choir. As an adult, she was afforded the opportunity to move to
Virginia and become a part of the gospel quartet group, "Evangelist
Brinkley & the Gospel Pearls" while also holding the role of an
accountant for the Governor of Virginia. After 10 years, she returned
to Ohio and joined an R&B/Rap group called the "Xtra Get It Squad". She
performed at several venues throughout Ohio and was known as JaiLuv.
Once afforded the opportunity to move to California, she immediately
started working as a personal assistant for an actress. Along the way,
she was offered several proposals which at first she declined.
Eventually, she was led to move on and accepted a proposal to act as
well as produce.
