Sean Croley first began playing piano when he was eight. It was an old, upright piano that sat in his parents pristine living room. He continued his lessons for 10 years. Over his high school years Sean was very active in various choirs and school bands and was in his high school musical every year as (usually) the romantic lead. In college, he studied recording engineering and music production and played keyboards on the odd gig here and there with friends. After college, he decided to open up a recording studio and also pursued the lifestyle of a travelling musician. It was later on when he was asked to step into the role of worship leader at his local church where he finally began to feel at home and honed his sense of musical expression. Sean also fronted the GMA nominated band "The Weak Need" for 8 years where he left and formed "Kings On A Ledge" with his good friend, guitarist, Tony.
His oldest daughter decided to study film at Sheridan College, and asked Sean if he could score some of her and her friends projects. This was his first introduction to composing. Sean's focus since 2010 has been composing and has remained in touch and continues working with some of those students who carried on with television and film full time. Sean's music gathered some interest from a publishing library in L.A. and later on another one in New York which peppered his works throughout a number of television shows. Working full time in music now, Sean continues to work on what he calls "band production" projects that see he and Tony pairing up as a 'band duo' to write and record songs in different musical genres. Between that and his compositional 'scoring' library projects, and his regular film clients and partners, Sean remains happily content in his studio most days.
