- Choreographer
Originally from a small island off the west coast of Canada, called The Sunshine Coast, Sammie grew up training in all styles of dance, as well as acting and singing. After graduating high school she continued her training as part of Harbour Dance Centers Intensive Training program in Vancouver, BC, which led her to be selected into a prominent dance company called The Source Dance Company. This gave her the opportunity to work with guest choreographers from LA and New York, which ultimately led her to assist instructors such as Candace Brown, Lauren Gottlieb, Robert Roldan, Sabrina Philip, and many more as an assistant for Groove Street Productions Convention tour. Soon after she was signed by an agency in Vancouver (daCosta Talent), and began training with Nadine Wright at Act2, which allowed her to start working consistently in live stage and television/film in Canada, and eventually performing internationally, including a 3 month artist tour in China and several performance contracts as a dancer and aerialist for Royal Caribbean.
In 2019 Sammie relocated to New York City to be with her husband, and began working as an associate choreographer for Royal Caribbean for their newest show creations alongside choreographers such as Teddy Forance and Director Shay Kuebler, and has joined the Actors Equity Association to continue pursuing her career in both live stage and television/film in New York City.
