Kendra Porter is a TEDx speaker, an award-winning image consultant, and wardrobe stylist. Founder of HonorYourStyle she has worked with thousands helping them to re-imagine their style. Her method of styling focuses on what works best to develop a personal brand. Kendra uses fashion as a tool to communicate to the world. Her motto: "HonorYourStyle. HONOR YOU!"
She began styling in 2011, starting as an apprentice with Style for Hire co-founded by TLC's What Not to Wear (2003) co-host Stacy London; quickly rising to stylist then onto Market Manager for the company. With over a decade of experience, she's worked with luxury brands and retailers -- including 15+ seasons at New York Fashion Week dressing for designers from Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Hererra to in-store presentations at Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales. She has styled commercials and fashion photo shoots for editorials.
In 2021, Kendra began working in television as part of the wardrobe team for NHL, Golf and Premier League featured on NBC Sports. Later that same year, she also joined the wardrobe team for the Olympics These days, you'll find Kendra on a microphone, producing fashion events for retailers; facilitating training on personal branding and style, teaching at the Fashion Institute of Technology, or in-studio dressing on-air talent.
Press highlights include Yahoo!, CNN, Essence, Marie Claire, SHAPE, and Black Enterprise to name a few. Originally from Westchester County, NY her work has been featured by Westchester Magazine, 914INC., WAG, and Stamford magazines as well as News 12 Westchester.
Kendra has a M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a B.A. in Promotional Marketing Management both conferred by the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in Image Consulting; and New York University in Public Relations.
