- Athough born in Scotland the first language that she learnt was Italian she has daul nationality.
- She won second prize at the annual School Rabbie Burn competition which surprised Maria as she could not understand or read old scots.
- Maria won a place at Castle Toward that where her love of painting really began when she was selected to attend a two-week residential art course at Castle Toward at the age of 17. This was an annual course for 4th and 5th-year pupils from Glasgow secondary schools, run by the Education Department of the former Strathclyde Regional Council.
Those who wished to attend this course were asked to submit a portfolio of artwork for consideration.
Castle Toward is a 19th-century Gothic Revival-style mansion at the southern tip of the Cowal peninsula, Argyll and Bute. After the second world war, it was bought by Glasgow Corporation and used as an outdoor education facility for art, music and sports. Over the next 60 years, thousands of schoolchildren spent happy summers there, living in the castle and taking part in practical work in their chosen subjects many major artists and musicians got their break. - When Maria was only a young 17 year old in 1987 she was run over by a back cab and was given last rights and placed in a coma she underwent surgery to save her life and given she was on her way to audition for The Glasgow School Musical youth theatre and Maria that day had so many people wishing her luck by saying break a leg and Maria answered I should break two legs that afternoon on her way to her audition she broke two legs spent months in rehab and the next year she audition for the after school programme and she was part of the cast of the icon grease and the lesser known musical Big Ali which she played a reporter.
- Maria has also trained in stop motion amination and won a place in the first ever high amination budget clinic in the UK she was the only freelancer chosen she did this amination in lockdown and did a four-week basic course and ended up making the characters she submitted this and she won a place.
- Maria is a former alumni of sceenskill meente programme 2021 and her mentor was a former BBC producer with 97 credits auk based charity in which many of the big broadcasters channel 4 the BBC channel 5 sky and many others fund training programmes and she is a trained high-end drama production coordinator for film and tv.
- When she was ten years old she was bitten by a snake in the long grass outside her family home in the mountain village of Bore in Northern Italy she rushed to the emergency centre with was lucky just down the hill and given anti vemon.
- Has being recovering from long covid and thus this has affected her health she on the road to recovery but has been channelling with her dyslexia dyscalculia suspected adhd and autism which has been linked to her bone disorder.
