The official Twitter account of Dengeki Bunko announced on April 5, 2024, that Hajime Kamoshida and Keji Mizoguchi’s Rascal Does Not Dream light novel is entering its final arc.
The final arc kicks off with the 14th volume, titled Seishun Buta Yaro Wa Girfriend No Yume Wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Girlfriend), and is set to release on Aug 9, 2024.
The story then reaches its conclusion with the 15th volume, Seishun Buta Yaro Wa Dear Friend No Yume Wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend), scheduled for release on Oct 10, 2024. Both volumes will feature limited editions with a bonus drama CD.

After a decade, the story of Sakuta’s antics are ending with Dengeki Bunko announcing today that Hajime Kamoshida’s Rascal Does Not Dream light novel series will end in its 15th volume. The story will come to a climax in the 14th volume of the series and end in the 15th volume. Author Kamoshida has confirmed that he has already finished writing the last volume and states that he’d “like to spend a good 10th anniversary with everyone.” A combined 14th and 15th volume visual was released revealing a drama CD will be released alongside special editions of each volume. Rascal Does Not Dream , a series of light novels about adolescents dealing with strange and sometimes paranormal events, has announced a new anime adaptation for the “Daigakusei Hen” (“College Student Edition”) story arc. Aside from the teaser video (below), no further details about the new anime have yet been revealed at the time of this writing. Additionally, a new key visual (below) has been published for the “Rascal Does Not Dream of School Memories – Aobuta Exhibition” art exhibition, which will be staged from March 12 – 24, 2024, at the Event Square venue located on the 8th floor of the Matsuya Ginza department store in Tokyo. Additional exhibitions will also be held later in Nagoya, Osaka, and Kyoto. The original Rascal Does Not Dream light novels are written by Hajime Kamoshida, illustrated by Keiji Mizoguchi, and published in Japan by Ascii Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. An English language version is also available from Yen Press.
