- Tony Sam is an Emmy-winning producer, writer and stand-up comedian who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Marine Biology degree and as a research associate at Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital, co-authored a paper in the prestigious Medical journal, Nature Medicine.
He began his comedy career performing improv on the city's north side at ImprovOlympic (IO Chicago), and Second City before co-founding the renowned alt-stand-up showcase, Chicago Underground Comedy.
Deciding to pursue a career in television, he relocated to Los Angeles, and has since written/produced for hit shows such as Josh Gates Tonight (Discovery), Food: Fact or Fiction? (Food Network) starring the legendary, Michael McKean, Ridiculousness (MTV), Super Fan Builds (Netflix), Jay Leno's Garage (CNBC) and the Emmy-winning home renovation hit, Instant Dream Home (Netflix).
In front of the camera as an actor he's appeared on Those Who Can't (TRU TV), Hack My Life (TRU TV) , Josh Gates Tonight, and in various sketches for Conan (TBS) as well as a variety of many national TV commercials for high-profile brands such as Honda, IHOP, and Instacart.
As a stand-up comedian he's performed at prestigious comedy festivals all around the country such as TBS Just For Laughs - Chicago, RIOT LA, BRIDGETOWN, Bumbershoot, and the NY Fringe, among many others.
