Andy Parnell (also known as Andrew Parnell), comes from Western Australia and works in the Sound Department in Production on set and in the Editorial Department as an Editor/Colourist in corporate video and television. Best known for his work on Karroyul (Best Indigenous Film St. Kilda Film Festival + nominee 5th AACTA Awards) as a boom operator, his work on the feature film Palm Beach (2019) as a Sound Assistant and on Reflection (Nominated Best Shortform Sound, Western Australian Screen Awards 2016). Andy has also worked as a Sound Recordist on My Kitchen Rules (Series 7, 8, 9, 10), The Bachelor (Series 4), The Bachelorette (Series 3) and The Great Australian Bakeoff in Australia as well as Footy Magic: Team of Champions (NITV) documentary series. In 2015, Andy was awarded an Australian Screen Sound Guild Award for best sound for a short fiction film for his boom operating on Karroyul.
Andy has Edited & Colour Graded short documentaries for NITV and has 12 years video editing and colour grading experience in documentary, corporate video and short form drama.
He is a full member of the Australian Screen Editors (ASE) Guild and a full member of the Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG).
