James Tralie is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer from Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. He works as a Planetary Science Producer and Animator at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and is represented by H+ Creative Los Angeles as a 3D designer. He studied Geosciences, French, and Environmental Studies at Princeton University and was a member of the L'Avant-Scène French Theater Group. Since he began directing films in middle school, his work has been selected by film festivals both locally and nationally for screening and/or awards. Most notably, he received a Student Emmy (and was Emmy-nominated for Best Young Producer), won the Young Filmmaker Award from the San Francisco Green Film Festival, won Best Animation at the Santa Monica International Teen Film Festival, won Best Picture at the WHYY Youth Media Awards (PBS-affiliated), is a Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key winner, YoungArts Alumnus, was an official selection for the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival, and was invited to the White House to meet President Obama as part of the White House Student Film Festival.
