Jessica Phillippi

Jessica Phillippi is an actress, singer, playwright and director based
in Glasgow and London. As an actress, she has worked on theater, film,
voice-over and music projects in the UK, the US, Italy, Germany, Brazil
and Uruguay. Recent directing work includes "Cosi e' (se vi pare)" and
"La Mandragola", rehearsed and performed in Italian for the University
of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde. She has also written two
successful plays for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe ("The Translator's
Dilemma" and "My Sister"), which subsequently toured to other festivals
in Scotland and Germany. She is the co-founder and Artistic Director of
Scandal Theatre, a company that creates theatre about social justice
issues. Jessica graduated from Wesleyan University and trained at the
Scuola Internazionale di Teatro in Rome before completing her MA at the
Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
