Maurício Macêdo is film producer with a degree in advertising from UFC and in Audiovisuals from Unifor, both in Fortaleza. He has garnered experience working on diverse projects for well-known directors such as Marcelo Gomes, Rosemberg Cariry, Ivo Lopes Araújo, Petrus Cariry and Leonardo Mouramateus, among others.
Along with this he has also actively taken part in film festivals such as Cine Ceará and For Rainbow. Mauricio was also active as producer of the Porto Iracema Arts Film School workshop and the Inflamável Creative Nucleus headed by Karim Aïnouz.
Maurício Macêdo has had a prolific career as executive producer as seen in diverse feature films and series including Greta (Panorama Berlin 2019) and Fortaleza Hotel (2022), both directed by Armando Praça; Os Peixes Dormem de Olhos Abertos? (2023), by Nele Wohlatz, Amores Paraguayos (2024), by Janaína Marques, Glória e Liberdade (2024), by Letícia Simões, as well as series Meninas do Benfica (Canal Brasil 2022), by Roberta Marques, and Se Avexe Não (EBC 2023), by Luciana Vieira, Wislan Esmeraldo and Victor Costa Lopes.
As Production Director he was active in various series and feature films including, Cangaceiro do Futuro (Netflix 2022), Lana & Carol (Tv Brasil/EBC 2018), Bem-Vinda a Quixeramobim (2022), by Halder Gomes and Cabeça de Nêgo (2021), by Déo Cardoso.
Maurício Macêdo is presently working on six projects as producer in different stages of production, including animation series Na Cozinha do Sítio and fiction feature film Fortaleza Paraíso, both directed by Janaína Marques and Pablo Arellano.
Maurício has participated in diverse markets and international workshops, including BRLab, Torino Film Lab, Cinéma en Construction, FirstCut Lab, Primer Corte Ventana Sur, among others. He is also a member of Rede Paradiso de Talentos, an organization bringing together key professionals from Brazil's audiovisual market.
