Elliott Wright(I)
- Camera and Electrical Department
Born in Leicester on 26th March 1990. His parents moved to the South
West in Devon just after he turned 3. Elliott attended Gate House
Primary School at the age of 4 and moved on to Dawlish Community
College in 2001, when he was 12. Elliott has had a passion for media
ever since he studied the subject at G.C.S.E level. He loved the idea
of creating trailers for short films and TV shows and allowing his
class mates to see his creations. He had a hard time at school as he
was bullied by his fellow pupils most of the time for wanting to do the
classwork set before him to the best of his ability.
Once School was finished with in 2006, the only G.C.S.E he had achieved was Media at grade B. His whole media learning experience and knowledge changed when he attended Exeter College in 2006, at the age of 17. By studying a BTEC First Diploma in Film Practice from 2006 - 2007 creating such media's as short films, adverts, music videos and documentaries. After all his efforts he had managed to obtain a Distinction*. At that time only 6 people in the country had managed to obtain such a grade. He continued his education at Exeter College studying a BTEC National Diploma in Media Production where he managed to graduate with 16 Distinctions and 2 Merits. In addition to studying media at College, Elliott had taken A level photography, but during the year he threatened to quit as he found that the work load was too great for him. For his last assignment at Exeter College Elliott had produced a 12 minute paranormal thriller set in a super market where he worked at the time. He had managed to complete his last assignment 1 month before the deadline so his tutor allowed him to finish college early.
In September 2009, Elliott went on to study a BA Hons in Television And Film Production at the University of Portsmouth. Throughout his degree he was mostly assigned as a producer for his projects as his fellow team mates knew he would be able to get the assignment done. In his final year in 2011 - 2012 Elliott had taken a stand and convinced his team mates that he no longer wanted to be a producer but assign himself as a cameraman. Outside of University Elliott took on a part time job working at a local retail store. In June 2012 Elliott had graduated from University with a hi 2.2.
Most recently Elliott has been searching for many jobs in the industry. His most recent work has been as an assistant camera operator on a paranormal film 'Deadly Intent (2013)
Aside from film making Elliott has been trying to get into acting. His most recent role was playing an American Solider in the short film'Assassins Creed: Blood Money' (2013).
