He was born on January 16, 1991 in New York City but grew up mainly in Greenwich, CT.
Cole is a student at The New School University, earning his double degree in Vocal Jazz and History, while simultaneously pursing a career in music. He has sung for various charity galas with the Peter Duchin and Alex Donner Orchestras in Manhattan, Palm Beach, and The Hamptons at venues such as the "21" club, La Grenouille, The Pierre Hotel, and The Breakers Hotel. In August of 2012, he was a winner of the Jazz Arts Forum Vocal Competition and performed in the Dobbs Ferry Jazz Festival.
Cole's primary charity is the NYC Mission Society, Manhattan's oldest running charity, which operates many programs to help break the cycle of poverty for families and underserved youth in Harlem. Cole made his Cabaret Convention debut at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Hall in October of 2014, following his Metropolitan Room debut the prior February. Cole Rumbough is beginning his second year's residency singing at Le Cirque Cafe.
