Marie Schreer

Hailing from the Southwest of Germany, Marie Schreer is a London-based violinist who began her musical education with Ute Frenzel-Yildiz at the Diapason Music Academy, later graduating from the Royal College of Music where she studied with Berent Korfker, Daniel Rowland and Yuri Zhislin. She is now studying with Krzysztof Smietana at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Marie has worked with artists such as Jonny Greenwood, Stewart Copeland, Rick Wakeman, Anna Calvi, John Wilson, Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Gustavo Dudamel and Andris Nelsons. She has performed across Europe and South America in major concert venues including Konzerthaus Berlin and Teatro Teresa Carreño in Caracas and most major concert halls in London. A versatile artist, she regularly appears in music for film and TV and has recorded at major London studios including Abbey Road, Air, Konk, and Angel Studios. Marie plays in a duo with classical pianist Maria Levandovskaya as well as with The Guastalla Quartet, Mainly Two, Lucy Claire, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra. Marie received an annual scholarship from L-Bank Trust from the age of ten and is now grateful to be supported by Henry Wood Trust, EMI Music Sound Foundation, Stephen Bell Charitable Trust, and The Leverhulme Trust.
