Marina is a Mexican-American writer, born and raised in Pasadena. She was recently staffed on the Disney Channel's "Just Roll With It." She is a graduate of the 2019 Disney/ABC Diversity program and has a background in theatre and stand up. She started out as an actress and quickly realized she didn't want to adhere to the stereotypical roles the industry set for her. Wanting to change the narrative for other women who also felt unseen, she decided she'd write for them. Also, maybe she realized she sucked at acting? Her friends call her Mari and her mom calls her everyday. She answers to both.
