Stacey Blanchet is a Fashion Designer, Author and Film Producer. She
started out in her 20's and 30's in business and marketing. In her
early 40's decided to go after her dream of being a fashion designer.
She started Blanchet Designs on September 23,
2010 with her first fashion show. In two years she has taken her
clothing from fashion shows to the Primetime Emmys (2012) Oscars (2013)
and Grammys (2013. She will also have her clothing available in select
boutiques in Beverly Hills, California, February/March of 2013. She has
been featured in 15 magazines over the year and an additional 5 more in
the coming months.
It was during 2011 she decided to publish a small book titled 'Romantic Encounters' available on Amazon.com. It has sold in one years time over 300 copies.
In 2012, the opportunity presented itself for her to get involved in making movies with the 48 hour film project in San Diego. It was during this time, her team also decided to put together a documentary on Stacey's life story titled 'The Journey To Myself' which was released in July 2012 and won 'Award of Merit' for the Indie Film Festival, of La Jolla, California, an 'Official Selection' of the Cine Fest of Las Vegas. It was during this time, Stacey, teamed with Victor Master, to create a documentary titled '3Moms and a Napkin' regarding 3 women who went to Sundance in 2011 and created the 'Young Leaders Film Festival' of La Jolla, California. This documentary was entered into the Focus Forward Film competition of 2012 with the winners announced at Sundance 2013. The film did not get accepted into the competition. It was during this time we decided to take our documentary on the road and enter it into the 2013 Film Festival Circuit.
