Jazz Rasool
Jazz was born Ijaz Rasool in 1966 near Kashmir in Pakistan and
emigrated with his parents at the age of 4 in 1970 to the UK.
The creator of the Atmascope Resonance Engine originally had in mind becoming an Astronaut. Unlike many kids chasing such a far out dream he actually got as far as studying Astrophysics at Queen Mary College in London. While studying Quantum Physics he read about the controversy that our minds may influence how physical reality comes into creation and is sustained in its evolution. As a result Jazz become far less interested in Outer Space and got curious about 'Inner Space' particularly how the brain's physics and biochemistry affects the body's physiology as well as even affect things beyond the body. To pursue this new direction of interest, after completing his degree at Queen Mary he started a Master of Science degree in Computer Modelling of Molecular and Biological Processes at Birkbeck College also in London where he studied drugs and medicines that acted on the brain and nervous system. He studied Anti-epileptics, Anti-Convulsants as well as anaesthetics. Many of these directly affected a person's consciousness while affecting their physiology -mind and body. As a consequence Jazz was asked to teach on how the mind influences the body, and vice versa, at health colleges in the UK, Europe, the USA and the Caribbean. He eventually decided to study ancient forms of medicine that worked on mind and body together eventually qualifying in Chinese Medicine discipline of Medical Qigong, a medical version of exercises people learn in Tai Chi. He adapted what he taught to enable improvement in performance of people seeking Life and Business Coaching to improve their vitality, clarity of purpose and engagement of their creativity and work duties. In addition to businesses and executives he helped Good Will Ambassadors at the UN, celebrities in Hollywood and even trained staff in rapport building based Customer Service for the Chairman's Office at British Telecom. At this time Jazz realised that Western systems of Coaching as well as Business Learning and Development were oriented on setting goals first and then finding the energy and resources to complete them second, while Eastern cultures focused on gathering Energy and Resources first in the hope that one day they could be used in choosing an empowering goal. The problem with the Western approach was that if a goal was set and no energy or resources could be found to complete it the goal would never be completed. The problem with the Eastern approach was that if no goal was found for all the energy, resources, skills and knowledge gathered then what had been accumulated would become stagnant and out of date before being able to make a difference to a person or the world. A way had to be found of not putting Goal's first and Energy second in the Western way or Energy first and Goal second as in the Eastern approach. The solution was simple help people work on their goals and energies together. Unlike traditional goal setting methods like GROW (Goals, Results, Opportunities and Weaknesses), Jazz's ideas was to use Goals and Energies Together (GET). This would ensure energies were capitalised on when needed while ensuring existing and emerging resources were channelled to an effective purpose or goal for a person's Life, Work or Community.
