Rogerio graduated in cinema from the University of São Paulo (1980). He was
trainee as 2nd Assistant Sound Editor "La Luna" by Bernardo Bertolucci
, (Rome, 1979) and 2nd Assistant Sound Editor "Oggetti Smarritti" by
Giuseppe Bertolucci (Rome, 1979/80) . Directed and produced the
following films: "Roças" (medium, 1975) , "Tem Coca-cola no Vatapá"
(medium, 1977 ) (co-director Pedro Farkas) , "Os Queixadas" (medium,
1978) , "Negra Noite" (short, 1985) , "Icaro" (short, 1987) , "Na
Garupa de Deus" (medium, 2002) , "A Civilização do Cacau" (TV, 2002)
(only director) , "Carpinteiros do Mar" (TV, 2005) , "Antes do Futuro"
(TV, 2005) , "Duplo Território" (TV, 2009) and the feature film "No
Olho da Rua" (2010 ) , selected by Montreal International Film Festival
, World Competition First Films (2010), and Festival Internacional del
Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, Section Opera Prima (Havana), 2010. He was
also invited by Section Vertentes of Mostra de Tiradentes (2011) and
Latin American Festival of Chicago (2012). In 2011 he directed and
produced the short "Poeira e Luz" and the medium "Perus, uma história
feita de ferro, cimento e amor", both to the Municipal Secretary of
Culture of São Paulo.
