Nabela Khair is from a Royal family. She's related to previous Kings of Afghanistan such as Abdul Raman Khan, Nadir Khan, Dawoud Khan, Zahir Khan. She's Momad Zaiee of Peshawer. As Mrs. Nabela Khair grew up with passion for the Filming industry.
Mrs. Nabela Khair graduated from San Francisco State University. She studied "Method Acting" with Shelly Mitchell and took Theatrical courses to make her dreams come true. As the first Afghan woman away from Afghanistan, she wrote the movie script of "Silent Tears" and filmed it using 35 MM camera. Her film Silent Tears was accepted at the International Cannes Film Festival and upon invitation, attended Cannes Film Festival in France. Her courage and passion for film making gave hopes and encouragement to the rest of Afghan women film makers. After Silent Tears, more Afghan women followed Mrs. Nabela Khair's foot steps on film making.
