American-born composer Brandon Soderlund is most noted for his innovative ability to merge folk music with an electric and industrial feel. Born in northern Minnesota to folk musician Michael Soderlund and Pegge Meyer. He has one younger sister, musician Bethany Soderlund. He is a self-taught guitar player and is proficient with many other instruments. After graduating high school in Pequot Lakes, MN Brandon joined the United States Army and served for eight years.
Later moving to Colorado and then California, working with musicians and collaborating on projects that would soon lead to him signing his first single EP in his late 20's. In 2011, his music career went from live performances and songwriting to composition and score work as his feature "Pluto Rising" was a world finalist in the European Space Agency music/media competition. He now works from his studio in Northern Minnesota as a composer and songwriter.
