Lisa Spooner received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from
Texas A&M University. In 2002, she won the coveted Miss Texas pageant
and went on to represent her state in the Miss America Pageant in
Atlantic City where she won an interview award and was a Top 10
finalist.
She began her career in television at a station in the Houston area.
From there, she moved to CBS 19 Eyewitness News in Tyler, Texas where
she began anchoring their Primetime at 5, 6, 6:30, and 10:00 p.m.
newscasts. After several years working the evening shift, she decided
to give the morning show a whirl. It was then she discovered that
waking people up every morning fits her outgoing personality and is
what she does best.
Lisa went on to anchor the morning show, Fox 4 Rising, for WFTX-TV in
Ft. Myers, Florida. In 2012 she was brought on as the co-host of The
Daily Buzz. The DBZ is a nationally syndicated LIVE morning show that
is in more than 175 markets across the country.
