Anna Van Valin was born in Canberra, Australia to two linguist parents
and grew up in Buffalo, NY. She moved to New York City in 2000 to
attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she
received a BFA with honors in Drama. She has also trained at the Stella
Adler Studio and Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She
completed a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting at the Brown/Trinity
Consortium in Providence, RI where she appeared with the Tony award
winning Trinity Rep Company. Her short play by Two was produced at
Brown. In New York, she has appeared with Primary Stages, Theatre for a
New Audience, Red Fern Theatre Co., and New York Madness. She recently
wrote, produced and co-starred in the festival bound short film Take It
Off. Anna is an avid yogi, needlepointer, traveler and devoted cat mom.
Her production company, Van Jaeger Productions, is committed to adding
female voices to our cultural narrative through filmmaking.
