Los Angeles, Sept 1 (Ians) The Robert Pattinson-starrer ‘The Batman’ had already announced its sequel for 2025. While date is likely to be pushed due to the Hollywood strikes, director Matt Reeves has revealed the villains, narrowing down the options to either Clayface or Mister Freeze.
Matt Reeves had earlier also expressed great interest in wanting to use either Clayface or Mister Freeze for the sequel, along with the Court of Owls, Professor Pyg or the Calendar Man instead of constantly focusing on the Joker.
The sequel will kick off production in March 24, 2024, instead of the originally scheduled to begin filming this November, due to the ongoing WGA strike, though a delay in release date, while likely hasn’t been confirmed, Aceshowbiz reported.

Exclusive: Doctor Sleep filmmaker Mike Flanagan has pitched a feature version of Clayface over at the studio several sources tell Deadline, however, no word on greenlight yet — and the studio has not said ‘No’. There are no offers and no deals. Though typically a DC supervillain, in the Flanagan pic, should it move forward, he wouldn’t be a bad guy (so we hear).
Word is that Flanagan and his Intrepid Pictures partner Trevor Macy had a meeting with DC Bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran. Flangan, we understand, wasn’t pitching the character to be part of Matt Reeves’ DC elseworld, The Batman 2 set for an Oct. 3, 2025 release date.
That said, other sources are telling us that scripts are constantly changing, and that Clayface is a big addition to Matt Reeves’ The Batman 2. Let’s wait until the dust settles here and something moves forward. It remains to be...

Last year, Gotham debuted on Fox amidst a lot of hoopla and generally positive notices. I, however, found the series woefully inept with ham-fisted dialogue and implausible plotting, while ignoring the source material to the point of being unrecognizable. I apparently was in the minority since the ratings were strong and it got a renewal.
Gotham: The Complete Second Season is out now on Blu-ray courtesy of Warner Home Entertainment and while it is markedly improved, it apparently has decided to embrace bad writing and worse plotting since people seemed to like it.
With the core players established, the second season decided to offer up two long arcs, with the winter hiatus separating them. In the first arc, we have the arrival of Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his sister Tabitha (Jessica Lucas), arrive in Gotham and we learn he’s here to settle old family scores as we...

Fox has released a bunch of photos from the upcoming episode of Gotham, “A Legion of Horribles,” and they give us our first look at Basil Karlo, a.k.a. Clayface. The character is being played by Brian McManamon. We also have a synopsis for the episode revealing that Jada Pinkett-Smith will be returning as Fish Mooney!
Hugo Strange welcomes a familiar face to Gotham after he resurrects Fish Mooney in Indian Hill. Later, Bruce discovers a friend is in danger and teams up with Gordon, Alfred and Lucius, while uncovering more of Strange’s experiments.
This has been a fantastic season. So much has happened that I didn’t expect, and there’s still more to come! I’m excited that we’ll finally get to see Clayface. We already knew he would eventually make his way into the series.

According to Comicbook.com, Brian McManamon has ben cast as Basil Karlo and will make his debut on a future episode of Gotham. At this time it's not clear whether he will actually become the shape-shifting villain known as Clayface or not, but with the equally outlandish Mr. Freeze recently being introduced on the Fox TV series, it wouldn't really be surprising. Check out the promo and synopsis for next week's episode below. After Gordon is removed from protective custody, he begins to face new threats and dangers inside prison walls. In order to survive, he must rely on a new friend, as well as Bullock and other outside help. Meanwhile, Penguin grows closer to his father, while his step-mother and step-siblings move forward with their own plans for the family.
